Designed by Miles City architect, Bryon Vreeland, was built of soft local brick in 1886. It's the best surviving example of Vreeland's work. Other 1880's bricks designed by Vreeland are in the 500 block of main. The building was commissioned by Lt. Gilman of Fort Keogh and LA Huffman, a well-known frontier photographer.
