About

Step back in time at the Range Riders Museum, one of eastern Montana’s most impressive collections of regional history. This expansive museum is jam-packed with fascinating exhibits—from the age of the dinosaurs to the 21st century. Explore displays featuring the Native American tribes of the area, the pioneers of the Great Plains, and the soldiers who shaped local history, including General Custer (namesake of the county) and General Miles (namesake of the city). Open seasonally April 15 through October 15—weather permitting—and available by appointment or for special events. Make time to experience this true Montana treasure in person!
